Boots & Specsavers Immersive Training Case Study
The Challenge
CooperVision is a global leader in contact lens manufacturing, providing advanced technology and expertise to a range of well-known optical brands, including Boots, Specsavers, David Clulow, Bayfields, and others.
Supporting such a broad network of partners requires consistent, high-quality training and product education, delivered at scale and across multiple locations. Traditional in-person training methods can be costly, time-intensive, and difficult to standardise, particularly when reaching dispersed retail teams.
CooperVision therefore needed an innovative digital solution that could deliver engaging, repeatable training experiences while maintaining brand accuracy and ensuring staff across different retailers received the same level of product understanding.
The Solution
To support a programme of scheduled product launches, CooperVision commissioned WORLDSPACE to deliver a series of virtual events for both the brand and its retail partners.
A bespoke, pre-designed virtual environment was created as a flexible foundation for the launch programme. This is where WORLDSPACE came into its own, enabling the environment to be rapidly rebranded and reconfigured to suit multiple client brands without the need to rebuild from scratch.
Once the core CooperVision environment was established, it was swiftly adapted for launches with Boots, Specsavers, David Clulow, and Bayfields. Each event retained the same underlying structure and functionality, while adopting the visual identity, messaging, and tone required for each individual retailer.
This approach ensured speed, consistency, and cost-efficiency — while still delivering a tailored, brand-appropriate experience for every launch.
The Outcome
Each virtual event delivered a complete, end-to-end product launch experience. Visitors were able to access downloadable product brochures, watch pre-recorded product videos, and explore clear, structured product information — all within a single, intuitive environment.
A dedicated auditorium space formed the centrepiece of each event, enabling visitors to livestream product launches in real time. This replicated the impact of an in-person presentation while offering greater flexibility and reach across locations and teams.
By combining rapid rebrandability with consistent functionality, CooperVision and its partners were able to deliver multiple launches efficiently, without compromising quality or engagement. The result was a scalable virtual event model that supported product education, ensured brand consistency, and provided a future-ready alternative to traditional launch formats.
