Colgate - Virtual Exhibition Case Study
The Challenge
The COVID pandemic had far-reaching implications for live events and exhibitions across the world. For Colgate, this meant rethinking their planned bricks-and-mortar exhibitions for three key product ranges: Colgate Sensitive Instant Relief, Colgate Total, and Colgate Duraphat.
With physical events no longer possible, Colgate needed an alternative that could deliver the same clarity, structure, and brand presence as a traditional exhibition, while remaining accessible to international audiences during a period of global disruption.
The Solution
Colgate partnered with WORLDSPACE to create a series of immersive virtual exhibitions that replaced their physical event programme.
Custom digital exhibition environments were designed to showcase each product range within clearly defined, branded spaces. This approach allowed visitors to navigate the exhibitions intuitively, explore product information at their own pace, and gain a clear understanding of each range all within a cohesive and professional virtual setting.
By translating the exhibition experience into an interactive digital format, WORLDSPACE provided Colgate with a scalable solution that worked across regions while maintaining consistency with their global brand standards.
The Outcome
In total, five virtual exhibitions were delivered for Colgate’s international, British, and Irish product showcases, welcoming over 700 visitors on the first day alone.
The success of the virtual exhibitions demonstrated a clear shift in how live events could be delivered in a post-pandemic landscape. While COVID accelerated the move away from purely physical formats, the long-term social impact has permanently changed audience expectations around accessibility and engagement.
